The most glamorous of careers often hide many a sad story beneath. Lolo Jones, who was the winner of the USA as well as the World Championships for hurdle events in 2013, has only been able to achieve this level by putting in a lot of effort and tremendous patience. Jones had a difficult childhood as she was raised by a single mom in a large family. Her mother was always on the move as well as having resided in a basement church for some duration. The sporadic lifestyle made it necessary for Jones to switch to a new school every year, until she began high school. When she attended Theodore Roosevelt High School Jones resided apart from her mother to pursue her interests in athletics. Jones lived in four distinct residences during her time at high school to ensure that she could attend all of her classes at one time.
